Gamdom slots: RTP, volatility, bonus buy and how to choose a game
Gamdom slots run to more than 8,000 titles from about 60 studios. This guide explains how to read RTP and volatility, what bonus buys really cost, how slot play feeds rakeback and King of the Hill, and how to pick a game deliberately.
What are Gamdom slots?
Gamdom slots make up most of the site's catalogue: the lobby advertises more than 8,300 games and the sitemap carries about 8,600 game pages, the large majority of them slots. They come from around 60 studios, from the biggest names to small houses that release through aggregators.
Every slot runs on its studio's certified random number generator, not on Gamdom's hash chain, which is reserved for the in-house Gamdom Originals. What Gamdom controls is which games it lists, which RTP version it runs where a studio offers several, and how slot play counts for its rakeback and leaderboards. Those three things are what this guide is about.

How a slot round works
When you press spin, the game asks its random number generator for a result and maps it to a set of symbols on the reels. Each spin is independent: the slot has no memory of the last one and no "due" state. Lines, ways or clusters decide which combinations pay, and features such as free spins, multipliers or expanding symbols are triggered by specific symbols landing.
Two numbers, which most slots publish in their info panel, describe what that process will feel like over time: RTP and volatility.
RTP and volatility in plain words
RTP (return to player) is the share of all money staked that a slot pays back over millions of spins. A 96% slot is expected to keep $4 of every $100 wagered. It says nothing about the next hour; short sessions swing widely in both directions.
Volatility describes how those returns arrive. Low-volatility games pay small amounts often. High-volatility games pay rarely, with most of their RTP concentrated in big features. Two slots with the same RTP can feel completely different: one gives a long, gentle session, the other can take a balance to zero in fifty spins and then pay 5,000x on the next.
Check the RTP version Gamdom runs
Many studios ship the same slot in several RTP settings, for example 96%, 94% and 92%. The casino chooses. On Gamdom, open the game's info or paytable panel and read the stated RTP before you play. If a slot you know shows a lower figure than the studio's headline, you are playing a lower version. That difference matters more than any tip you will read about timing or bet size.
Why RTP also changes your rewards
Gamdom weights its rewards by house edge. Its own help centre gives the example that $200 on a 97% RTP slot can move your Royalty Up progress more than $200 on Dice at 99.9%. King of the Hill points work the same way. That sounds like a reason to choose lower-RTP slots. It is not: the extra reward reflects the extra expected loss, and the rakeback returns only part of it.
Types of slots you will find
- High-volatility bonus slots. Hacksaw Gaming, Nolimit City, AvatarUX and Backseat Gaming are known for games built around big features and high maximum wins. They dominate stream clips and are the riskiest way to play.
- Mainstream video slots. Pragmatic Play, Play'n GO, NetEnt, Red Tiger and Push Gaming supply familiar titles with free spins and multipliers at medium to high volatility.
- Megaways and cluster games. Big Time Gaming's Megaways format and cluster-pay slots change the number of ways to win on each spin.
- Classic and fruit slots. Amusnet, EGT Digital and Novomatic carry simpler, lower-volatility games for longer sessions.
- Jackpot slots. Some titles add progressive or fixed jackpots; part of their RTP is reserved for the jackpot, so base-game returns are lower.
The lobby filters by provider, and Gamdom's provider pages help you browse one studio at a time.
Bonus buy, features and free play
A bonus buy lets you pay a fixed price, often 80x to 200x your stake or more, to go straight into the bonus round. The RTP of the bought bonus is usually similar to, sometimes slightly higher than, the base game, but because you are paying a lump sum per attempt, the swings are far bigger. A $1 stake with a 100x buy is $100 a go. Bonus buys are disabled in some countries.
Feature spins and ante bets raise the cost per spin to improve the chance of a feature. Read the paytable; they rarely change RTP, they change volatility.
Demo mode, where a studio provides it, lets you try a slot without staking money. It is the cheapest way to learn whether you like a game's rhythm before playing for real.
Slot Battles in the Slots Arena
Gamdom's Slots Arena turns slots into a contest. You pick a slot and a buy-in, then play a 1v1, team or group battle against other players. Modes include Classic, Crazy, Terminal and Fast Spin, and you can create private battles or play in Sponsored Mode. The best result takes the pot; check the battle screen for any fee before you join.
Battles do not change a slot's RTP; they redistribute results between players. They add variance, because finishing second can mean losing your whole buy-in on a session that would otherwise have been close to break-even. See our Gamdom slot battles guide for the rules.
Slot strategy, honestly
No pattern of bets beats a slot's RNG. What you can control:
- Choose by RTP and volatility. Pick the highest RTP version available and a volatility that matches your budget.
- Set a session budget and stake. A rough rule: a high-volatility slot needs at least 200 to 300 stakes in your session budget to give the features a chance to appear.
- Decide your stop points first. A loss limit, and a win point where you withdraw part of the balance.
- Treat rakeback as a discount, not income. Gamdom rakeback returns a slice of the house edge. It does not turn a negative-expectation game into a positive one.
- Do not chase stream results. A streamer's best clip is the top of a very long distribution.
Are Gamdom slots fair?
The slots on Gamdom are the studios' own games, served from the studios' servers, using RNGs tested by independent labs. Gamdom states that its games are audited by iTech Labs. The casino cannot alter individual spins; it can choose the RTP version, which is why checking it matters.
For the in-house games, Gamdom uses a different method you can verify yourself; see Gamdom provably fair.

FAQ
How many slots does Gamdom have?
Gamdom advertises more than 8,300 games, and its sitemap lists about 8,600 game pages, most of them slots from around 60 studios.
How do I check a slot's RTP on Gamdom?
Open the game's info or paytable panel and read the stated RTP. Studios offer several versions of many slots, so the figure on Gamdom may differ from the studio's headline number.
Which providers are on Gamdom?
Pragmatic Play, Hacksaw Gaming, Nolimit City, Play'n GO, NetEnt, Red Tiger, Push Gaming, Relax, ELK, Big Time Gaming, AvatarUX, Backseat Gaming, Penguin King, BGaming and many more.
Can I buy bonuses on Gamdom slots?
Many slots offer a bonus buy, but it depends on the game and on your country. A buy costs a fixed multiple of your stake and makes sessions much more volatile.
Do slots count for Gamdom rakeback?
Yes. Slot bets generate Instant, Weekly and Monthly Rewards and move your Royalty Up rank, weighted by the game's house edge.
Do lower-RTP slots earn more King of the Hill points?
Yes, because points scale with house edge. That reflects higher expected loss, so it is not a reason to choose a lower-RTP game.
What are Gamdom Slot Battles?
Contests in the Slots Arena where players play the same slot for a shared pot, in 1v1, team or group formats. The best result wins.
Are Gamdom slots rigged?
No evidence suggests so. Slots run on the studios' certified RNGs, and Gamdom states its games are audited by iTech Labs. The casino chooses the RTP version, which you should check.
