Gamdom Plinko: how it works, rows, risk and odds

Gamdom Plinko drops a ball through rows of pegs into a line of multiplier slots: the middle pays little and often, the edges pay a lot and rarely. This guide explains the rows and risk settings, the real chance of reaching each slot, auto-bet and how to check a drop against Gamdom's hash chain.

What is Gamdom Plinko?

Gamdom Plinko is a drop game in the Gamdom Originals range. A ball falls from the
top of a triangle of pegs, bounces left or right at each row, and lands in one of the multiplier slots
along the bottom. The slot decides your payout. Slots near the middle pay below or around your stake;
slots at the far edges pay the big multipliers.

Gamdom's own description is "drop the ball and watch it bounce toward a multiplier". There is no timing
and nothing to do once the ball is dropped. The decisions come before: how much to bet, how many rows,
and how much risk. Gamdom lists Plinko among the Originals at around 99% RTP, and publishes sample code
to check each drop.

How a round works

  1. Set your stake. Originals start from about $0.01; Plinko's maximum bet is shown in the game.
  2. Choose the number of rows. More rows mean more slots and wider extremes. Reviews of Gamdom's

version describe a range of 8 to 16 rows.

  1. Choose the risk level. Higher risk pushes value toward the edge slots and lowers the middle.
  2. Drop the ball. The path and the landing slot come from the game hash.
  3. Get paid the slot's multiplier times your stake.

Gamdom's help article also mentions multi-ball drops and other options such as choosing where the ball
starts. Features change over time, so use what the current game panel shows. Whatever the options, the
payout table on screen already includes the edge.

Payouts and the maths

At each row the ball goes left or right with equal chance, so the landing slot follows a binomial
distribution. With n rows there are n + 1 slots, and the chance of the far-left (or far-right) slot is
1 in 2ⁿ.

RowsChance of one edge slotChance of the very centre
80.39% (1 in 256)27.3%
120.024% (1 in 4,096)22.6%
160.0015% (1 in 65,536)19.6%

The slot next to the edge is far more common: at 16 rows it is about 0.024%, and two in from the edge
about 0.18%. Most drops land in the middle third, which is why middle multipliers sit below 1x on higher
risk settings: that is where the game recovers the value it pays out at the edges.

These figures come from the binomial maths, not from Gamdom's paytable. The multipliers on screen are
set so that, averaged across all slots, the return is about 99%. Rows and risk change the shape of that
return, never the average.

Auto-bet in Plinko

Auto mode drops ball after ball at your chosen stake, with options for the number of drops, stake changes
after wins or losses, and stop-on-profit and stop-on-loss limits.

Plinko drops are quick and visually satisfying, which makes long auto runs easy to start and hard to
judge. Set a finite number of drops and a stop-on-loss, and look at total wagered as well as your
balance. The Plinko strategy guide covers settings that keep sessions under
control.

Strategies people try, and why none beats the edge

Low risk, many rows

Lots of slots near 1x make results feel steady, but the edge is the same. Small losses add up over many
drops.

High risk, waiting for an edge slot

At 16 rows the far edges are about 1 in 65,536 each. A long run without one does not make the next drop
more likely to reach it.

Changing settings after a loss

Switching to high risk to "win it back" increases the swing, not the expected return.

Reading the animation

The bouncing ball is a picture of a path already set by the game hash. There is no physics to predict.

How to verify a Plinko drop

Gamdom's Originals use a chain of ten million SHA-256 hashes generated from a secret seed, published by
the final hash and played in reverse. Each finished game's hash is published, and hashing it once must
match the previous game's hash.

For Plinko, Gamdom links sample code that turns a game hash into the ball's left-right path and the
final slot for your rows and risk. Paste the hash from your bet details and compare the slot with your
result. The Gamdom provably fair guide explains each step.

Bankroll tips for Plinko

  • Pick rows and risk once per session. Constant changes are chasing in disguise.
  • Budget for dry spells on high risk: most drops return less than the stake.
  • Keep stakes small relative to the session budget. Plinko is a volume game.
  • Count rewards as a rebate. Gamdom rakeback gives part of the edge back; it

does not make Plinko profitable.

For a break, Gamdom offers self-exclusion for 1, 5 or 8 days, and longer closures through support. The
responsible gambling guide lists outside help.

  • No setting changes the edge

FAQ

How does Gamdom Plinko work?

You choose a stake, rows and risk level, then drop a ball through pegs. It lands in a multiplier slot along the bottom, and you are paid that multiplier times your stake. Edge slots pay most and are rarest.

What is the RTP of Gamdom Plinko?

Gamdom lists Plinko among its Originals with an RTP of around 99%. Rows and risk change how the return is spread across slots, not the long-run average.

How many rows does Gamdom Plinko have?

The row count is adjustable. Reviews of Gamdom's Plinko describe 8 to 16 rows; the current options are shown in the game panel.

What are the odds of hitting the edge in Plinko?

Each edge slot has a chance of 1 in 2 to the power of the row count: 1 in 256 at 8 rows, 1 in 4,096 at 12 and 1 in 65,536 at 16.

Is Gamdom Plinko rigged?

Gamdom Plinko is provably fair. Each drop comes from a published SHA-256 hash chain, and Gamdom provides sample code to recompute the path and slot from the game hash.

Which Plinko risk level is best?

None is better over time. Low risk gives steadier results near 1x, high risk gives rare big multipliers and many small losses. Pick the one whose swings your budget can handle.

Is there a maximum bet on Gamdom Plinko?

Yes. Gamdom sets a maximum bet for Plinko and shows it in the game. Check the bet panel, as limits can change.
