Gamdom began in 2016 as a place for Counter-Strike players to bet skins and grew into a casino and sportsbook with a strong community, leaderboard races and rewards from the first bet. Stake launched in 2017 and became the biggest name in crypto gambling on the back of stadium-sized deals: Drake, the UFC, Formula 1 and top-flight football.

Licence and ownership
Stake's Medium Rare N.V. holds a licence under Curaçao's reformed regime, listed on the regulator's register. Gamdom's footer names Moon Revolution Limitada, a Costa Rican company, and an Anjouan licence. Gamdom used to run under Smein Hosting N.V. with a Curaçao licence, and some of its own site text still mentions Curaçao. A reviewer found the Anjouan register entry dated to expire in June 2026, so check the current footer and the register yourself.
Neither regulator offers the player protection of the UK or Malta. Curaçao's reformed regime is generally seen as the stronger of the two.
Originals and provably fair games
Stake has one of the deepest originals catalogues in the market. Gamdom's is smaller but well rounded: Crash, Dice, Roulette, Hilo, Mines, Plinko, Keno, Limbo, Blackjack, Pocket Dice and Twist. Gamdom's Roulette is played on a carousel line of numbers with a progressive jackpot, and there is no Wheel or Towers game.
Gamdom's pricing is aggressive. Several games run at about 99% RTP, and the first $5,000 you wager on Originals earns 1% instant rakeback, an effective 100% return. Its fairness system uses a SHA-256 chain of 10 million hashes played in reverse; Stake uses server seeds, client seeds and nonces. Both let you verify a round after it is played. Rewards and VIP
This is where the two differ most for ordinary players. Stake pays rakeback, reloads and level-up bonuses once you reach Bronze at $10,000 wagered, then climbs through Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond tiers. Its structure is published, but low-volume players may never reach the first rung.
Gamdom pays from the first bet. Instant Rewards can be claimed from $0.10 several times a day, Weekly Rewards land on Mondays and Monthly Rewards on the 1st, and each Weekly or Monthly Reward can be taken at once or as a 7-day reload worth 25% more. Royalty Up has 24 ranks from Bronze to Opal, but Gamdom shows progress as a percentage rather than a wager table, so you cannot plan around a fixed number. On top of that, Gamdom's King of the Hill pays $30,000 a day and $500,000 every half month across its leaderboards, with no wagering on prizes.
Sportsbook and sponsorships
Stake's sportsbook is one of the largest in crypto betting, and its sponsorships span football, the UFC and Formula 1. Gamdom's book, supplied by Betby and OneBitTech with Oddin esports, covers the main sports, horse racing and deep esports on CS2, Dota 2, League of Legends and Valorant. Payments
Both are crypto-first and support the major coins. Gamdom accepts BTC, ETH, USDT, USDC, USD1, LTC, TRX, XRP, DOGE, SOL and BNB, with Visa, Apple Pay and Google Pay through Swapped, bank transfer from about $9, gift cards and Steam skins. Security and trust
Stake has a long, mostly quiet operating record at a much larger scale. Gamdom's record is longer still but bumpier: Sweden banned its former operator in 2024, and on 13 October 2026 an unauthorised connection on one of its servers led to losses of $3 million to $4.2 million from hot wallets. Availability
The country lists differ in useful ways. Both exclude the US and the UK. Stake excludes Canada (in part), Italy, Poland and others that Gamdom's terms do not list, while Gamdom excludes Luxembourg, Hungary and Slovenia, which Stake's list does not. Both exclude Australia, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain and Sweden.
